Abstract
MOV - 6269 KB, Growth factor-induced epithelial budding and invasion of ECM in mammary organoid system. 100-hour time-lapse DIC imaging (days 3-7 after addition of growth factor) of FGF2-induced epithelial budding in a wild-type mammary organoid. Luminal epithelial buds invade beyond the myoepithelial layer and into surrounding Matrigel, recapitulating normal ductal morphogenesis and the early stages of invasive breast cancer.
